WHAT WE BELIEVE
This ministry embraces the Holy Bible as sole foundation for our belief system, teachings and practices.
THE BIBLE
We believe in the Bible as God’s written revelation to mankind. The 66 books make up the Bible. They are infallible, plenary and equally inspired Word of God. (I Cor. 2:7-14; 2 Pet. 1:20, 21).
GOD
We believe in one God, infinite Spirit, Creator and Sustainer of all things, Who exists eternally in three Persons: God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28: 19; 2 Cor. 13:14; Heb. 1:13)
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second Person of the Trinity. He is true God and true man. He is eternally begotten from the Father. He was conceived of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit as the Saviour of the world. (John 16:13,14; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 12:11, 14:22; Heb. 2:3-5; Luke 3:3-35; Phil. 2:5-8).
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third Person of the Trinity Godhead. He is God’s active presence in the world, guiding, empowering and transforming believers. He provides comfort, conviction of sin, wisdom, and spiritual gifts enabling Christians to both serve and live according to God’s will. He is often symbolized as wind, fire, or a dove in the Bible. (John 14:26; Acts 1:8; Rom. 8:26; Gal. 5:22, 23; 2 Cor. 3:17).
ANGELS
We believe that angels were created by God as ministering spirits. One third of them fell with Satan from the original sinless state to become agents of evil, while two thirds that remain with God are being held by His grace. (Isa. 14:120-17; Ezek. 28: 11-19; 1 Tim. 3:6; Rev. 12: 4, 9).
MAN
We believe that Adam was created by God, being the first man on earth; but disobeyed his Creator, ushering sin and death into the world. Consequently, all persons are sinners from conception, made evident in their willful acts of sin; therefore are subject to eternal punishment, under the just condemnation of a Holy God. (Gen. 1:27; Rom. 5:12; Eph. 2:1).
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is earned by faith alone in the atoning work of Christ on the cross of Calvary, apart from works. Jesus’ vicarious death is the substitutionary work that redeemed us from our sin, his shed blood for our salvation. And only those who believe on Jesus as their personal Saviour and Lord are truly born of the Holy Spirit, thus the children of God (Acts 4:12; John 1:12, 3:7, 16; 2 Cor. 5:17).
ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
We believe through the Bible that our sins have been totally and eternally forgiven, when we put our trust in Christ as our personal Saviour (Col. 2:2; Heb. 6:11, 10:22). And that God will forever, by His power, keep and save all those who have professed Jesus as their Saviour and Lord (John 5:4, 10:28; Eph. 1:11; 1 Pet. 1:5).
SANCTIFICATION
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all those who are born again and conforms them into the likeness of Jesus Christ. This process is only perfected in heaven. Therefore, every Christian is responsible to live in daily obedience to the Word of God in separation from sin, (Heb. 10:10, 14; John 17:17; Eph. 5:25-27; John 3:2).
THE CHURCH
We believe that Church is a universal, mystical or spiritual body of believers under the Lordship of Christ. Its primary assignment is to carry out the Great Commission, teach or disciple, and administer the ordinances of baptism and Holy Communion. It also functions through the ministry of gifts given to each believer by the Holy Spirit, (Acts 8:36-38; Eph. 1:22-23; 1 Cor. 12:13; Phil. 1:1; 1 Cor. 11:23-26; Mark 16:15,16; Rom. 12:6-8; Matt. 3: 13-17, 26:26-28; 1 Cor. 12:14-17).
THE BLESSED HOPE
We believe that the second coming of Jesus Christ for all believers is imminent. It will be followed by seven year Great Tribulation and the establishment of Christ’s earthly kingdom for 1,000 years. (Titus 2:13; Rev. 20:1-6; 1 John 3:2-3; 2 Pet. 3:11).
